Garments Care Instructions

Cotton Garment Care Instructions

Cotton clothes are known for their excellent drape and structured fit, but they still require proper care to maintain their shape and color.

  1. Washing
For cleaning, either hand wash or use a gentle machine wash at no more than 86°F (30°C). Cotton's limited stretch means vigorous scrubbing should be avoided to maintain the garment's shape.
  2. Soaking
Soak your cotton item in warm water (around 95°F or 35°C) for 1 - 2 hours. Avoid prolonged soaking in detergent, as this can lead to color fading.
  3. Ironing
Iron at a temperature below 248°F (120°C). It's best to iron the garment while it's slightly damp for the best results.
  4. Drying
Lay the garment flat to dry in a shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight or prolonged exposure, as this can cause fading and yellowing.
By following these simple steps, you can help ensure that your cotton clothes stay in great condition and continue to look their best.

Silk Garment Care Instructions

Silk, known for its luxurious feel and natural sheen, requires delicate care to preserve its beauty and softness.

  1. Washing
Hand - wash silk garments in cold water (around 68°F or 20°C) with a mild detergent specially formulated for silk. Avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, or fabric softeners, as they can damage the fibers.
  2. Soaking
Do not soak silk for long periods. A short - term soak not exceeding 30 minutes in cold water is sufficient to clean the fabric.
  3. Drying
Never wring out silk garments. Instead, gently press out excess water using a towel, and lay the garment flat to air dry in a shaded, well - ventilated area. Avoid hanging silk, as this can cause stretching.
  4. Ironing
Iron silk on the lowest heat setting (usually labeled as "silk" on the iron), or iron while the garment is still slightly damp to avoid burning the fabric. Use a cloth between the iron and silk to provide extra protection.
  5. Storing
Store silk in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use padded hangers or fold the garment to prevent stretching or damage to the fabric.
